The Greenland Neutrino Observatory is a next-generation radio detector for ultra-high energy neutrinos. We tested a prototype detector at Summit Station Greenland in June 2015, and are leading the development effort.
The ANITA experiment is a NASA long-duration balloon experiment that detects the radio signals generated via the Askaryan effect from ultra-high energy neutrinos interacting in the Antarctic ice sheet. The third flight of ANITA flew in December 2014 for 22 days in Antarctica, with world-leading sensitivity to the highest energy neutrinos. The fourth flight of ANITA is scheduled for December 2016.
BICEP3 is an experiment that observes the microwave sky on degree angular scales to make precision measurements of the polarization of the Cosmic Microwave Background. BICEP3 follows up on the detection of B-mode polarization by BICEP2, looking for the pattern imprinted on the CMB by gravitational waves created during Inflation. After a successful integration and installation at South Pole, BICEP3’s first light was on January 18, 2015, and it has been observing ever since.
The Keck Array is an array of five polarimeters of similar design to BICEP2. It has the same science goals as the BICEP series of instruments, but with a factor of five increase in the number of detectors compared to BICEP2, leading to increased sensitivity. The Keck Array has been observing since 2012, and has now observed at four frequencies (95, 150, 220, and 250 GHz).
