CfCP co-oganized the International Workshop on Particle Physics and the Early Universe (COSMO2002), the sixth workshop in the COSMO series.

This conference has been successful in bringing together particle physicists, cosmologists and astrophysicists and providing the format to discuss new results in the exciting and fast-moving field of particle astrophysics and cosmology.

 
South Pole Telescope
November 9, 2002
National Science Board approves funding to build new South Pole Telescope to explain why the Universe is accelerating. CfCP faculty member John E. Carlstrom will lead the team of scientists which will build this telescope.
