From the Airport
Taxis from O'Hare airport costs about $45+ tip; taxis from Midway cost
about $25+tip.
The Omega Airport Shuttle runs between O'Hare Airport and Hyde Park every hour from early in the morning to late evening. Reservations are not required. Schedule and fare information is available at the Omega Shuttle website. If taking the Omega Shuttle ask to be dropped off at the Quadrangle Club and then follow the walking directions from the Quadrangle Club. Bus and Train Information
Hyde Park is connected to downtown Chicago by the Metra Train and several CTA bus routes. Within Hyde Park there are several buses that serve the University community.
By Automobile
Maps and driving directions to Chicago, Hyde Park, and the campus can be found on the University's map pages, along with related visitor information. The most convenient visitor parking garage is on 55th Street between Ellis and Greenwood Avenues (enter on Ellis Avenue). The parking fee is $12 a day (or part thereof for shorter durations). Meter parking is available in the lot on the WEST of the LASR building - enter on 56th street after Drexel Avenue (see locations marked "Park" in the map). From Hyde Park Locations
 From the parking structure's Ellis Avenue exit, walk two blocks south to 57th Street and turn right (west). Turn right again onto the first walkway on your right (between the Biopsychological Research Center on your right and the Biological Sciences Learning Center on your left). The main entrance to the LASR building is at the far north end of the walkway. From the 55th Street Parking Structure Walk south on Ellis to 56th Street. Turn left onto 56th street and left into the alley between the Enrico Fermi Institute and High Energy physics. Turn right to walk to the front (south) entrance of LASR. (Follow the red arrows on map).
